Version 1.0

Disclaimers

The limits of what TruckersBS and its content can be relied on for.

Effective: December 1, 2026

1. About these Disclaimers

1.1 Purpose. These Disclaimers apply to the trucking community and media platform at https://truckersbs.com/ (the "Platform"), operated by Truckers Base Social Inc. ("TruckersBS", "we", "us" or "our"), part of the LTL VAN Media group. They explain the limits of what the Platform and its content can be relied on for. They form part of the User Terms (https://truckersbs.com/legal/user-terms).

1.2 Law. These Disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. They do not limit any right you have under mandatory consumer protection or other law that cannot be excluded.

2. User content and independent Contributors

2.1 Independent voices. Stories, comments, forum posts, TruckersBS TV content created by users, Materials, load securement setups, profiles and other content are created by users. Users, including the Contributors we approve to publish Stories, are independent individuals. They do not work for TruckersBS or LTL VAN Media Inc. ("LTL VAN Media"), they are not employees, agents or official representatives of either company, they are not paid for their contributions, and their statements and opinions are their own.

2.2 No endorsement. The publication of content, a user's approval as a Contributor, a byline, a verified badge or a position in search results or in a feed is not an endorsement or verification of the content or the person. A verified badge shows only that we reviewed the documents the user gave us at that time.

2.3 Sponsored and affiliate content. We do not currently sell paid promotion on the Platform. Truckers Base Social Plus is a planned future offering and is not available at the Effective Date. If it is enabled, its promotions will be labelled as promoted or sponsored, and we will not guarantee any product, service or claim in them. Where a user posts content that is sponsored or contains affiliate links, the user must label it as the Community Guidelines require and is responsible for it, and we do not guarantee any product, service or claim in it.

2.4 Wiki pages. Wiki pages about people, places and companies are prepared by our administrators with the help of an artificial intelligence tool that draws on public Stories. They may contain errors and are not a statement of fact by us about any person or business. Tell us if a wiki page is wrong.

2.5 No responsibility for accuracy. We do not guarantee that user content is accurate, complete, current, lawful or safe. We are not responsible for it, to the extent the law allows.

2.6 Our moderation. We may moderate content and respond to complaints, but we do not review everything posted. Our decision to leave content in place does not mean we agree with it.

3. Information only, not professional advice

3.1 No advice. Content on the Platform is general information and community discussion. It is not legal, regulatory, safety, engineering, medical, mental health, tax, financial or insurance advice, and it does not create an advisory, lawyer-client or other professional relationship.

3.2 Your own advice. You should obtain advice from a qualified professional for your situation before acting on any content.

3.3 Legal documents. Nothing on the Platform, including E-Sign or any document template or sample, is legal advice or a substitute for a lawyer.

4. Trucking regulations and compliance

4.1 Not a regulator. We are not a regulator or a government body, and we are not affiliated with one. References to regulations, standards and rules are a starting point for orientation only.

4.2 Rules vary and change. Trucking rules differ by country, state, province and territory and change over time. They may include hours of service, vehicle inspection, weight and dimension, licensing, cross-border and cargo securement requirements. Content may be incomplete, out of date or wrong for your situation.

4.3 Your responsibility. You are responsible for identifying and following the rules that apply to you and your operation. Confirm requirements with the relevant authority, such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration of the United States Department of Transportation, the provincial or territorial transport authority in Canada, your carrier or employer and the equipment manufacturer.

4.4 No guarantee. We do not guarantee that following any content will result in compliance, a passed inspection or the avoidance of a penalty. We are not liable for any fine, out-of-service order, loss of licence or other consequence of reliance on content, to the extent the law allows.

5. Load securement and safety content

5.1 Informational only. Load securement content is for general information and discussion and is not training, a certification or an official instruction. It does not replace the applicable cargo securement standards, such as the North American Cargo Securement Standard as adopted in Canada and the United States, your carrier's procedures, the equipment manufacturer's instructions or the instructions of an inspector.

5.2 User-posted setups. A setup, photo, diagram or video posted by a user shows what that user did. It may be unsafe, unlawful or unsuitable for your load, vehicle or equipment.

5.3 Safety-critical risk. Improper securement, overloading or driving practice can cause death, serious injury and property damage. You use securement and safety content entirely at your own risk and must verify it against authoritative sources before relying on it.

5.4 Reporting errors. If you see content that may be unsafe or incorrect, please report it so we can label, correct or remove it.

6. Health and wellbeing

6.1 Not medical or mental health advice. Stories and discussions may mention health, fatigue, injury or mental health. This is shared experience and not medical advice or treatment.

6.2 Seek help. If you need medical help, contact a qualified professional or emergency services. In Canada, you can call or text 9-8-8 for the Suicide Crisis Helpline. In the United States, you can call or text 988.

7. THT Funds

7.1 What THT Funds is. THT Funds ("Truckers Helping Truckers") displays fundraising requests submitted by users and links to external fundraising campaigns run by third parties, such as campaigns on GoFundMe. We are not a charity, a fundraiser or a payment processor. Donations are made on external platforms, not through the Platform, and we do not hold or distribute funds. We receive no referral fee or commission from any fundraising platform.

7.2 No guarantee of any request. We do not independently verify every request, and we do not promise any particular approval or verification procedure. We do not guarantee that a request is truthful, that a beneficiary is as described, that funds will be used as stated, that the amount shown is accurate or that any campaign will be lawful, successful or properly administered.

7.3 Labels. A label on a request, such as "TBS User", "Trucking Company", "TBS Admin" or "Documents", describes who submitted the request or what the approver saw. It, and any badge or publication of a request, is not a guarantee, certification or endorsement and does not amount to a representation about the person, the cause or the outcome.

7.4 Amounts. Campaign totals may be entered manually and may not be current or complete.

7.5 Donate with care. A donation is a voluntary gift that you make at your own risk, to a third party, under the third party's terms. Do your own checks. We are not responsible for lost, misused or misappropriated funds, or for any dispute among a requester, a beneficiary, a donor and the external service.

7.6 No tax advice or receipts. We do not issue tax receipts. Donations to individuals are generally not deductible. Seek tax advice.

7.7 Reporting. Report suspected fraud to us at [fraud reports email — to be confirmed] and to the external fundraising service and the relevant authorities.

8. Shop, affiliate links and third-party products

8.1 Affiliate disclosure. Amazon Associates is the affiliate programme we plan to use for the Shop, and other affiliate relationships will be disclosed where they apply. Once affiliate links are published, we may receive a commission from the retailer if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you, and we will include the disclosure the programme requires. A commission does not make us the seller or an agent of the seller.

8.2 Seller responsibility. Third-party retailers and affiliate partners control their own checkout, payment, delivery, returns, warranties, product information and privacy practices. We are not a party to your purchase and are not responsible for it.

8.3 Products. We do not test or guarantee products. Safety-critical equipment such as straps, chains, binders and tie-downs must be selected, rated and used in line with the applicable standards, regardless of what a listing or user says.

8.4 Prices and availability. Prices, offers and availability are set by the seller and may change.

8.5 Honest opinions. Contributors and users who recommend products give their own opinions and must disclose material connections. We do not guarantee that they have done so.

9. E-Sign and CabBox

9.1 E-Sign. E-Sign is a simple electronic signature tool that records who signed, when, from which IP address and on what device. It does not verify identity, capacity or authority beyond the signer's account, does not seal the document against later changes, does not provide advice, and does not guarantee that a signed document is valid or enforceable in any place or for any purpose. Some documents require formalities that E-Sign does not provide.

9.2 CabBox. CabBox is a messaging and file sharing feature. Messages are encrypted in transit but are not end-to-end encrypted. CabBox is not a secure archive and does not guarantee confidentiality or availability. We do not scan files for malware, so open files only from people you trust. You should keep your own copies of important files.

9.3 Your content. You are responsible for what you put into CabBox and E-Sign and for choosing the people with whom you share it.

10. Drivers and dealings between users

10.1 Not verified. We do not verify the identity, authority, insurance, licensing, safety record or reliability of any user, driver, carrier, broker, dispatcher or shipper.

10.2 Not a broker or carrier. We are not a freight broker, carrier, shipper or employer, and we are not a party to arrangements between users.

10.3 Do your own checks. Verify who you are dealing with, including authority and insurance, before accepting a load, signing a document or sharing sensitive information.

11. TruckersBS TV, embeds and external links

11.1 External content. The Platform may embed or link to content from other services. We do not control and are not responsible for it, and a link or embed is not an endorsement.

11.2 Video. Videos may show unsafe or unlawful practices. Do not copy them.

12. Artificial intelligence

12.1 AI-powered assistance. The Platform uses or intends to use OpenAI technology to explain trucking terms and equipment, give general information about cities and other places, and help with sentences and wording. Responses may contain errors or omissions, may be out of date and may be inappropriate. Do not rely on them for safety-critical or operational decisions, such as cargo securement, equipment, regulatory compliance, routes or hours of service, without checking an authoritative source. Location information is general only. You are responsible for reviewing AI output and for what you publish.

12.2 Availability. At the Effective Date, sentence assistance is not working and is not available. We do not promise that any AI function will be available or restored.

12.3 Wiki pages. Wiki pages prepared with AI assistance may be inaccurate, as explained in section 2.4.

13. Availability and no warranty

13.1 As is. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

13.2 Liability. Our liability is limited as set out in section 23 of the User Terms.

14. Copyright and trademarks

14.1 Third-party marks. Names, logos and marks of other companies belong to their owners. Their use on the Platform does not mean that the owner endorses or is connected with the Platform.

14.2 Complaints. To report an infringement, follow the Copyright Complaints Policy at https://truckersbs.com/legal/copyright-complaints.
